Induction Complete

Scarlett's Induction chemo is over!  It was very hard (and we still have a week or so of sickness) but we all survived the first four cycles of high-intensity chemo!  In a few weeks we begin the Consolidation phase.

We're home and so far, it's not too bad.  Scarlett is watching Sesame Street with Daddy.  We are going to try our best to make it to a birthday party for our good friends' twins who are turning one.  Tomorrow we have to unload my classroom and pack all the gear - cubbies, books, toys, bins and boxes - into our garage for whenever I have a classroom again.

Have a wonderful weekend!

I truly hope you enjoy your time at home with your daughter; being a full-time
SAHM is a real blessing, even if it gets tedious and repetitive sometimes. More prayers for you and your family as you continue to do all you can to ensure Scarlett's future health.

Have you thought about looking into homebound instruction? You could work just a few hours a week. Tutoring can be worth it. When I was not married I was able to make enough tutoring after school to pay for groceries and my utilities. That was 6 or more years ago and I made $40 a tutoring session. Of course you would have to let your clients know that you need flexibility in scheduling.
I am a teacher so I know how hard it is to give up a classroom.
