Relay For Life

Everything is fine at home.  It looks like we may be going back to the hospital today instead of tomorrow, but we have to wait to see if there is a bed available.

I have been getting many letters from our readers who are participating in Relay For Life with Scarlett in mind.  These are amazing events that raise awareness and funds for the American Cancer Society.  We are hoping to attend some of our local events, but it will depend on Scarlett's schedule.

Thanks to Scarlett's Relayers!

You can donate toward these or any Relay events to help raise money for cancer research.  Research is the only way to find a cure.

Relay ROX!!
This year I added Scarlett to the list of people I relay in support and honor of. She is an inspiration for us all. The Relay is a great place to meet new people, raise funds for this terrible disease and celebrate more birthdays! I hope you get a chance to come out to this years Newark Relay, it really is an amazing event!

Hi Chris and Brandi,

My name is Hazel and I am a nine year cancer survivor and have participated in Relay For Life every year. I am the Fight Back Chair for the Union City Relay and I would love to have you come to our event if possible. I will honor Scarlett with a butterfly decorated bag at our Luminaria Ceremony. The Union City Relay For Life is August 27-28 at James Logan High School. Here is the link to our website.

I attend Neighborhood Church in Newark and I am amazed at your strength and faith. I have followed your blog and pray for Scarlett and your whole family.

Have a blessed day, Hazel

As you know, Scarlett is our Honor Patient for the FUN Mothers Club team at RFL in Fremont. We are looking forward to doing this for her.

My grandfather died of cancer (lung, throat, liver, and lymph node) two years ago. I have been attending Relay for Life for several years now. Our Relay is always held in October, and this year a group of friends will be lighting candle for her along with the other survivors, because your daughter is strong, and we have faith that she will make it through. I found your story on BBC when I was still pregnant, and have been following you and praying, in my own way, every step of the way. My son is 3 months old now, and I couldn't imagine going through what your family is going through, I don't think I could mom up and be as strong as you are.

When Relay comes around this year, I will be sure to send pictures of her candles.

As always, sending healing vibes Scarlett's way,
Sara, Tommy, and Baby Wyatt Foster.
