I am working on adding some elements to the blog as I learn more. Check out the new "Scarlett's Story" tab for the short version of the whole story so far and some new pictures.
THANK YOU to Carrie, Ally and Ava Irwin who brought us delicious sushi for dinner tonight. We gobbled it up as if it might swim away! Ally was in my kindergarten class a few years ago; I loved hearing her tell me about school and the other kids from our class! Scarlett was awake and very alert when they were here, and even tried to give a little smile before they left!

I'm so glad to hear she's doing so well. She's such an amazing baby.
Thank you for keeping us updated.
Glad to hear you all are able to have some family time at home...Keep your spirits up, she has come so far and done so well!
I've been following Scarlett's story since her second surgery but have never posted here. I've read about everything she's gone through but after reading your summary it really hit me how much she's had to endure and what a strong little girl she is. I truly believe God has a special plan for her! Scarlett is so lucky to have such wonderful, knowledgeable parents and I pray for all of you every day. Keep fighting sweet girl, you've conquered so much already!!
I just wanted to say that we are keeping your family in our thoughts and prayers. Scarlett is such a strong and beautiful baby! I agree that it is surreal how doctors talk to you as a parent after awhile. We experienced this while our son was in the NICU for 4 months. You both are such amazing parents to not only deal with everything with such grace but to share your journey with all of us. Our family will keep praying for Scarlett as she continues to amaze us. I've never met her but wish I could! Give her some extra hugs from us!-Bonnie, BBC August 2010 mama
I LOVE how well your little girl is handling all of this! I'm praying that she continues to be so strong and that all of these hospital and doctor visits and tests and chemo work. It's amazing how well she's done with everything so far, and I am so happy that you guys get to post such positive things on here now. Hugs & Prayers from Elma, NY.

I have been following your blog from the beginning and just finished reading your new section entitled, "Scarlett's Story" it once again gave me chills! I have a 5 month old girl born exactly one month before Scarlett. I can only imagine what you're going through. You two are amazing people. Keep fighting!
