A Brief Break

10 days later, we are finally home.  Scarlett is doing well, despite a little nausea, very sensitive, irritated skin and some mouth sores.  These are not unexpected, and she is tolerating it all well.  We are resting and gearing up for another in-patient week beginning Tuesday.  Off to wash the RSV out of all our linens...

I just started following your blog about a week ago from a friend that posted on her facebook to send up prayers. Since then I have read every post with tears in my eyes. I just wanted to tell you that I am praying for you and your family and of course Baby Scarlett. As one person said, this is making every mother hold their baby a little tighter. That is what I am doing tonight. My heart aches for you, as a mother. You clearly are such a strong family, and I know you will continue to be as such. Prayers are going up from across the country in Beaufort, South Carolina!
Sincerely,
Natalie McQuillen

Enjoy the time at home with your precious daughter. I know first hand how tiring hospitals can be. After you get those linens washed, I hope you can relax a bit.

Glad to hear you guys are snuggling up at home now! :) I will continue to be praying and sending positive vibes your way. Keep your chin up, mom and dad, before you know it she'll be all grown up and going out on her first date! ;)
She truly is a fighter, and I'm so proud of how well she's been doing. Such an inspiration to us all <3
