Down to One

Scarlett just had the NJ (nasal-jejunum) tube removed!  This leaves her with just one IV left.  Hooray!  MRI tomorrow, and if it is clear, we can go home tomorrow afternoon!  If not, she'll need a shunt on Tuesday.  Good progress!

What a strong little girl! You guys are blessed to have her. You guys are doing a great job!

Great news. At hospitals they fix and monitor - home is for healing. From one brain surgery parent to another, you might be tempted to never leave her alone again. Research shows that she has a better chance of a normal development if you treat her like any other child her age with appropriate infection control measures. Invest in a good video baby monitor so you can put her down for a nap without freaking out everytime she moves.
